Hemant is born and brought up in the metropolitan of Mumbai, landscape for him is the
human built structure of the city. In his works he portrays the reality around him, as a
silent observer, building the narrative of the millennial world. His skyscrapers thus go
astoundingly high and have bushes falling out of balconies, giving it a visual of an
equatorial tree, or in places the structures overlap to create modern temples.
