Last year's theme was 'Ahimsa’ in line with 150 years of celebrating Mahatma Gandhi. The Balanand contest is run with the collaboration of the Inner Wheel Club Association and Kalanand artists. Funded by the CSR initiative of Balanand patrons the workshops are held in 350 schools across India.

THE CREATIVE CLASSROOM
The Creative Classroom is a new initiative aimed at encouraging and training art teachers to spark creativity in their students with resources that are local and natural in their environment. This program is led by Gopika Dahanukar, Director of Swahansa Expressive Arts India in collaboration with PDAF offering internships for students of the Expressive Arts Therapy /Peacebuilding/Coaching programmes in India .
